Gweela is a not-for profit sports club based in Noosa, Queensland.

Gweela FC organises social futsal games for 8-15 year old boys and girls who want to kick a round ball, have fun and keep fit…
…while keeping out of the sun and rain in a friendly, safe, local environment…
…making futsal a really easy and practical way to engage children in team sports.
Futsal is an indoor game based on football (soccer). The ball is smaller and less bouncy than a football, but the game is much faster, with an emphasis on agility and skill. Players get about five times as many touches on the ball as they do in the outdoor game, which means that they develop new ball skills really quickly.

Gweela FC plays in the Student Centre, Sunshine Beach State High School, on Sunday afternoons and early evenings.
Different age groups play at different times: call or SMS Jo on 0407 575 547 for start times and availability.
The games run year-round with the exception of special events and public holidays.
Players don’t need to have any experience of futsal or football – all abilities are welcome. They just need lightweight shirts and shorts, indoor sports shoes, and a water bottle. We provide regulation futsal balls, goals and supervisors. We like parents to stay, watch and take part if kids need encouragement or help.
Fees are $10 per player per game, which covers the cost of court hire and insurance.
They are paid on the day by cash, card or mobile.
In playing, the player and parent become members of the club and accept the club’s aims: friendship, fair play, equality, community and promotion of the wonderful sport of futsal.
